Takoyaki is a Japanese snack made from wheat flour based batter & lightly cooked in a special round mould. It typically has a diced octopus in the middle & brushed with a thick sauce similar to Worstershire but sweeter, streaked with Japanese Mayo & topped with pickled red ginger called benishouga, sprinkled with aonori fine see weed and dried shavings of smoked bonito called Katsuobushi.
