There is often some confusion around the differences of dumplings & we get it. Chinese dumplings called Jiaozi which are similar, use ground beef, pork, lamb, chicken, fish, and shrimp for fillings, while Japanese gyoza use cabbage, garlic for aromatics in their fillings & are usually thinner & smaller in size. They are most often pan-fried or steamed. We like them steamed as its a cleaner cooking method & captures all those juicy bits nicely inside.
